OK JOYSTICK NOT THE BEST January 4, 2009 I bought this joystick first off when I got my new computer and Flight Sim X trying to get a decent joystick for the price. The one benefit of this joystick is there are plenty of buttons on it allowing you to program lots of different things for the game. The one thing that was a downfall for this joystick was that there is no y axis (you can't turn the handle left and right (rotate))this made it very difficult to control the aircraft on the ground as I would be pushing a button to turn the wheel a little and than would have to push the opposite button on the other side the exact amount of times otherwise you're always turning in one direction. I was able to find a joystick that had this option for a cheaper rate than i bought this one for.
Great for the price December 20, 2008 For the price, this joystick it worth itbr /br /Plug 'n play: no CDs, no online downloads. Just plug the USB in and it installs itself.br /br /Ergonomics: Fits your hand perfectly and allows for hours of play with absolutely no pain. The placement of the base keys and throttle allow for easy accessibility. br /br /Functionality: The throttle needs a few hours of play to get it going, it eventually will move very smooth, and never move "on accident". The joystick itself is very fluid in movement, and allows for a wide range of motion.br /br /Over all, for the price I payed for this product its the best you can get, and will last a long time.
good... November 14, 2008 I bought this joystick in mint condition from local thrifth store for 6 bucks(didnt have driver cd, but i just downloaded them off the internet). didnt really plan to buy any joysticks any time soon, but for 6 bucks.. its a GREAT stick for the [original] price. i wasn't into flight simulators(ive been playing them here and there, but found it hard and uncomfortable to play em with a keyboard), so i installed the joystick and was amazed! then when i got a little more into simulators i decided that this joystick is not enough for me. for more "advanced" players i reccomend to get logitech extreme 3D(same as this one but also has twist handle, POV hat, and buttons are allighed on one side), or on saitek cyborg. but for people who just want to kill some time flyin simulators, this joystick is probably THE best deal.br /PROS: cheap, 11 programmable buttons, comfortable throttle switch, good for lefties and "rightees"br /CONS: doesnt have a twist handle, pow hat. 3 buttons are placed in the uncomfortable to reach(for both, lefties and rightees) position. but i almost never use those buttons, and i cant really complain about twisthandle and pov for that price.
Wears down fast March 30, 2008 I bought my Logitech Attack 3 a few years ago, when the Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed expansion came out. I found this joystick to be great, for about a week. I found that the stick would just not hold center, veering to the left or right, and I would need to recalibrate it after about an hour of playing. This stick was just not worth the money. I have had the same issue with all Logitech joysticks I have used. I gave up on Logitech joysticks, and I eventually decided to cough up the extra money, and buy a Saitek Cyborg Evo, which proved to be a great investment. Years later it is still working fine.
pretty good joystick February 10, 2008 In Flight Simulator 2004, This joystick allows for sensitive control, so that you don't need to move too much. The buttons are shortcuts to some key commands. I think it's very good overall.
