Product Description The Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter gives wireless connection capabilities to any wired Ethernet-equipped game console. The Game Adapter can be used in several different ways. If you have an existing home wireless network and a cable or DSL Internet connection, the Game Adapter lets your Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 or 3, or GameCube attach to the network so you can get into online games without running wires to the game room. Or, use a pair of Game Adapters to form a "cable-less cable" between two game consoles for head-to-head gaming - in the same room, or all the way across the house. There's also a special "Wireless LAN Party" mode to connect several consoles at once. It's completely driver-free, so it works on any platform. Since there are no drivers to load, setup is a snap. Just configure the network settings through your PC's web browser, plug it into your game box, and go. The Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter provides lag-free gaming with incredible communication speeds when connected to a Wireless-N Access Point or Router. It can also connect to Wireless-A, -B, or -G devices.Spend your time gaming, not stringing wires, with the Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter.

Works Well November 10, 2008 I had to follow the instructions on another reviwer, entitled "Advanced configuration directions," but other than that...this device works well. I have not had to unplug it to reboot it once. I use it with my PS3 for N speeds. My PS3 would disconnect during online play over my G network. I have not experienced any dropouts of the N network. br /
Important for DirecTV subscribers! October 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just wasted an hour trying to set this up through my PC while getting error message after error message.br /br /If you're trying to hook this up to your DirecTV box (HR-21) to get on-demand content, you DO NOT have to set up the adapter through a pc.br /br /Simply connect the device to your HR-21's network port, plug it in, and click DirecTV's menu button. Go to "Set-up," then down to "Network." Answer the questions, and in less than a minute, you should be up and running. br /br /The latest update to DirecTV boxes provides immediate plug-and-play access with the adapter. br /br /Hope I saved someone else a lot of time!
Great Wireless N Router October 25, 2008 I bought 3 LINKSYS Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapters 2-3 month ago.br /Those work very well so far. I recommend this product to anyone.
Horrible...Have you used Linksys support????? October 20, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was excited to use this device. Setup was somewhat difficult. Range with both bands was about 30 ft....standard construction, no concrete or metal walls. I never have been on 2 star rater, but would only state to be beware.br /Plus....br /br / Linksys outsourced support is horrible. Call them and ask some basic questions about products before you buy them. No clue about wireless standards. Ask about "power over Ethernet" . 5 agents had not the faintest.
WGA600N October 19, 2008 I bought this gaming adapter several months before getting around to setting it up. I have quite a bit of experience working with wireless and so I found it to be a very simple setup. I have read that some have not been able to get this to work with non-Linksys routers. I have 4 Wired/Wireless routers running, a Verizon, Netgear Wireless W302, Netgear Wireless FWAG113, and a Wireless FVG318. It was able to recognize all of them and I connected to each one to make sure that it would work with each router. I have set it up on the Netgear WG302 that is down stairs in a hallway closet. The adapter is up stairs in my bedroom connected to my Slingbox. It has been running flawlessly for a month now and it has not lost it's connection yet.br /br /In setup I unchecked A-MPDU Aggregation and Short GUI. Unchecked WISH and unchecked WIFI Protected Setup. It is a great Linksys product and and I would buy it again.br /br /As a side note, you can get into this unit by typing [...] in the address bar of your web browser. You can do setup from there.
