Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Linksys Wireless-G Router for 3G/UMTS Broadband is really three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect both screaming fast Wireless-G (802.11g at 54Mbps) and Wireless-B (802.11b at 11Mbps) devices to the network. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Connect four PCs directly, or attach more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need. The Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a 3G/UMTS or GPRS Internet connection (requires Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G/UMTS data card, available separately). You can also use a standard Ethernet attached Internet connection, like a cable or DSL modem, if available.Once your computers are connected to the Router and the Internet, they can communicate with each other too, sharing document files, a printer, storage space, and other resources. To protect your data and privacy, the Wireless-G Router for 3G/UMTS Broadband can encode all wireless LAN transmissions with WEP or industrial-strength WPA Personal encryption. The Router can serve as a DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs against intruders and most known Internet attacks, and supports VPN pass-through. Configuration is a snap with the web browser-based configuration utility. With the Wireless-G Router for 3G/UMTS Broadband, you can create a secure wireless network with Internet connectivity, anywhere that 3G/UMTS or GPRS service is available.

4 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT PRODUCT GREAT IDEA...   October 24, 2008

I READ THE REVIEWS AND WAS A LITTLE THROWN BY SOME OF THE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. WELL I STARTED LOOKING AROUND AND MOST OF THE PROBLEM SEEM TO BE THE INSTALLATION OF IT. I WENT AHEAD AND ORDERED IT I RECIEVED IT FROM AMAZON WITH IN 4 DAYS WHICH WAS GREAT. I INSTALLED MY VERIZON PC5750 AIR CARD AND FOLLOWED THE SETUP DIRECTIONS AND OF COURSE IT DID NOT WORK. SO FRUSTRATED BECUASE VERIZON SAID THAT THE CARD WAS RECEIVING THE SERVICE THEY COULD NOT HELP ME OUT WITH THE ACTUAL PRODUCT. SO I LOG ON TO LINKSYS SINCE THEY DONT PUT PHONE NUMBERS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE INSTEAD THEY HAVE A LIVE CHAT SERVICE WHERE THE PERSON HELPED ME OUT WHICH WAS COOL. COME TO FIND OUT ALL IT NEEDED WAS AN UPDATE WHICH TOTAL IN TIME TOOK ABOUT 6 MINUTES. OTHER THAN THAT THE PRODUCT IS GREAT, THE WIRELESS DISTANCE IS REALLY GOOD AND I THINK IT IS ACTUALLY FASTER THAN WHAT IT WAS ON MY COMPUTER. OVER ALL GREAT PRODUCTbr / HOPE THIS REVIEW HELPS YOU OUTbr /CHEERS

1 out of 5 stars It does not work   October 17, 2008
Verizon does not support this device even though the package comes only with a Verizon tech support number. After attempting for 4 hrs to make it work with the linksys tech. I have given up and sending it back.

1 out of 5 stars wireless connection   October 4, 2008
We had trouble with this product,it says on the box to use with Verizon? But verizon do not support it at all and say it should not work with there wireless card.br /We can only use it with hard wired service only.br /

1 out of 5 stars Router didn't work   September 23, 2008
First off, the description of the router explains that it would work for our verizon wireless internet card, and enable our desktop to connect to the internet. FALSE. Then customer support at linksys said that the technology we purchased was above their customer support level. Not Happy.

4 out of 5 stars Something that finally works...   September 2, 2008
I live in the middle of no-where and have a very hard time getting high-speed internet. I have tried local high-speed, which would not reach, satelite internet, which is faster than dial-up, but not worth the money, and finally this. I recieve 4 full bars of signal where I live, and pull very good speeds. Normal download speeds of about 2 MB/sec, and normal upload about 750Kb/sec. I used this router with a Verizon Wireless PC5750 AirCard, and have no problems. The speeds are very consistant, and I have never had a problem, other than sometimes the router will not automatically "dial in" a connect to Verizon, and I have to push the button. The router has proven it self in reliability, consistancy. I sometimes use XBox Live, and have no problems connecting that and my computer to the internet.
