Amazon.com The Dualshock 3 wireless controller for the PlayStation 3 system provides the most intuitive game play experience with pressure sensors in each action button and the inclusion of the highly sensitive SIXAXIS? motion sensing technology. Each hit, crash and explosion is more realistic when the user feels the rumble right in the palm of their hand. It can even detect natural movements for real-time and high precision interactive play, acting as a natural extension of the user's body. Dualshock 3 wireless controller utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless game play and the controller's USB cable to seamlessly and automatically charge the controller through the PlayStation 3 system at anytime.p/table align=left width=200 cellpadding=20trtdimg alt="Dualshock 3 wireless controller front" src="http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/videogames/detail-page/ds3_wc_4_sm.jpg" border="1" align=topbrsmallcenterbView larger./i/b/center/small/td/tr/tabletable align=right width=250 cellpadding=10trtdimg alt="Dualshock 3 wireless controller back" src="http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/videogames/detail-page/ds3_wc_1_sm.jpg" border="1" align=topbrsmallcenterbView larger./i/b/center/small/td/trtrtdimg alt="Dualshock 3 wireless controller in package" src="http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/videogames/detail-page/ds3_wc_2_sm.jpg" border=1 align=topbrsmallcenterbView larger./i/b/center/small/td/tr/tablebKey Features/b:ulliPressure sensors that rumble with each action making every impact feel like you're right in the game.liSIXAXIS? highly sensitive motion control system senses your every move liFeatures Bluetooth technology for wireless game play; the PlayStation 3 system can support up to seven wireless controllers at one time.liCan be charged at any time through the PlayStation 3 system using the controller's USB cable/ulbr/bInitial PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 Compatibility Chart/bulliiFormula One Championship Edition/i - PS3liiMotorStorm/i - PS3liiPAIN/i - PSNliiHigh Velocity Bowling/i - PSNliiMLB 08: The Show/i - PS3liiUncharted: Drake's Fortune/i - PS3liiResistance: Fall of Man/i - PS3liiRatchet Clank Future: Tools of Destruction/i - PS3liiGo! Great item. December 1, 2008 The controller has a heavier feel to it than the issued one for PS3. What can I say that wasn't mentioned on other reviews. This product works great. My only gripe is that PS3 should have made the dualshock the issued controller.
Works perfectly December 1, 2008 The controller works beautifully, and the extra weight on the controller doesn't make much of a difference. Though it does feel a bit sturdier than the non-dualshock ones.
Better than Sixxaxis control November 29, 2008 This control dos not have nothing special, especially if you had used the Dual Shock 2 in the past. It is practically the same Sixaxis control but the vibration mode has incorporated and the weight is slightly heavy compared to Sixaxis control. It is very sensitive and very comfortable. The battery has a long life (runs out after 6 hours of intensive use).
No complaints; much better than I expected November 27, 2008 I'd always been an XBox guy. One of the things I preferred about the XBox compared to the Playstation was the controller. It's got a big, meaty controller that fills out your hands nicely, while I always felt like previous Playstation controllers felt light, cheap and flimsy. Well, a couple months ago, I bought a PS3. I needed a Blu-ray player and I figured I might as well spend a little extra and get a gaming system with it too. What I like about the Dual Shock Sixaxis is that it's a little heavier than previous controllers, and it just feels solid and sturdy in your hands. The buttons are nice and responsive, and they're well-placed from an ergonomic standpoint. Highly recommended.
Classics die hard November 25, 2008 Who didn't cringe a bit when Sony unveiled the unsightly, boomerang controller with the PS3, oh so many years ago? So when it was revealed that the controller was going to be the same shape function as the DualShock 2, I let out a huge sigh of relief. But my relief was tempered by the announcement that there was to be no 'shock' in the new wireless controller. "Oh well," I thought, "At least it still 'looks' like the dual shock." But then I heard that the reason for no 'shock' was that it wasn't compatible with the sixaxis feature. Now I'm no electronics engineer, but I know enough to know that there are ways to counter such incompatibilities. br /br /I thought correctly when they released the DualShock 3, Sony's next gen gamer's Excalibur. Same awesome design that fits oh so perfectly in my hand, same game enhancing vibration function as the DS2, and now with the sixaxis control feature it's wireless! What more do I need to say about it? Sure there are other after market controllers out there for less money, but why?
