Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Time to move up to the "N" degree. That's 802.11n wireless networking. It's an emerging extension of 802.11a/b/g. The router employs MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) spatial multiplexing techniques which greatly increases speed, coverage and the reliability of the wireless network and works with all 802.11n equipped devices.

5 out of 5 stars Belkin N   January 7, 2009
I purchased the Belkin N wireless router about a month ago, and so far it has worked out well. It is winter and my wife and I have only used it throughout our home, but so far we've had excellent wireless connection. For the price that I paid, and the router's capabilities, it seems to be a pretty sound purchase. I hope this helps someone with their potential wireless router purchase.

3 out of 5 stars Not for satellite internet   December 28, 2008
I'm sure that this router works fine for many uses, but we found out that it is not necessarily the best choice if you have satellite internet. We installed the router without problem, but once we started using it, we found that there were frequent brief dropouts in the connection. It worked fine to transmit small internet files, but we were unable to download anything larger than about 500K without losing the connection and stopping the download. We worked extensively with Belkin tech support (who were very patient and kind) trying to troubleshoot the problem. They even sent us a replacement unit to try, but the same thing happened. We finally found a couple of web forums where satellite internet users described the same problem with Belkin routers. If you have satellite internet, you may wish to consider LinkSys.

5 out of 5 stars Great Router and a Great price!   December 24, 2008
Great router! It takes a little time to setup but for the price, it's awesome. I haven't had a problem with it since purchase. br /br /I recommend updating the firmware right away. The setup software didn't list my cable modem provider (Brighthouse), but just do an equivalent (another cable modem company.. or another dsl company, etc...) if yours isn't listed. br /br /Easy to use and setup wireless password. I had my laptop and pda working on it in no time.

4 out of 5 stars Works great   December 15, 2008
Works great, was easy to install by a non-techie (me)in fact my daughter was impressed that I was able to hook up a wireless network

1 out of 5 stars Two Lemons   December 9, 2008
Like other Mac users I had problems by continually being kicked offline after anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. I returned the first unit (at my expense). The second router was equally non-functional.br /br /I spent more than an hour (2 calls) with customer support, downloaded firmware upgrades, adjusted settings -- no help.br /br /Belkin won't take this lemon back. It will give me a credit so I can buy more non-working junk from them.br /br /I'll never buy another product from Belkin again.
