| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Transcend introduced the JetFlash V20 USB flash drive to bridge the gap between large capacity and accessibility. If you do not already own a USB flash drive, you soon will. Based on the design of Transcend's best selling JetFlash120, the V20 features the same shapely chassis and semi-transparent colored mid-band that glows during use. The accessible range is available at prices that do not spiral upwards with the number of gigabytes.

Nice flash drive December 29, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I tried this drive on 3 different OS's (Windows ME, Ubuntu 8.04.1, and Windows XP). Windows ME / Ubuntu 8.04.1 dual boot was running on an Asus A7M266 motherboard PC with an ALi USB 2.0 expansion card. Windows XP was running on a Dell OptiPlex 745 (integrated Intel ICH8 USB 2.0 chipset). It worked fine on all setups, no issues with hardware detection. It is formatted to FAT32 from the factory (the most compatible file system, but you may want to reformat it to NTFS if you only use Windows XP/Vista). The capacity is a little less than the stated 64GB (Windows reports 59.8GB). Transcend uses the same dishonest (in my opinion) tactic the hard drive manufacturers use of calling a megabyte 1000x1000 bytes instead of what it really is (1024x1024 bytes). The cap to cover the USB interface seems flimsy / easily broken, the plastic isn't very thick. The drive does not seem especially fast (took several hours to copy 50GB worth of data to it), but I use it only for offline storage anyway. Overall I'm pleased with the high capacity and especially the compatibility (any USB compatible operating system should work, even Windows 98SE and Mac OS 9, per Transcend's web site).
Great drive - runs as expected! December 29, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great way to carry 64GB of storage from one place to another. While the drive is a bit larger than your average 4GB drive, it's still small enough to fit in your pocket and not notice it. The drive runs smoothly and without a problem. I've used it on Windows XP Pro and Vista Home with no problems. Data transfer is consistent with USB2.0. br /br /The software did not come preloaded on the drive, but after a short download, I found the functionality of the software to be simple and efficient. There's some great sync features (Outlook email, favorites, My Documents, etc.) and using encryption is quick and easy. br /br /If you're looking for a simple portable storage solution, this is a great buy.Transcend 64 GB JetFlash V20 USB 2.0 Drive TS64GJFV20
Great stick October 24, 2008 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
Reliable and very fast. Comes with an extension USB cord, which is thoughtful because it is a bit bigger than your 4GB stick :-)br /I haven't tried the "special functionalities" though.
Did NOT work at all! Sent back for refund! October 9, 2008 13 out of 62 found this review helpful
My PC is a Fujitsu P1620 Lifebook with Windows XP Pro SP3 and it runs 2GB Core 2 Duo at 1.2GHz and an 80GB HDD with (4) USB 2.o ports, so it's a new model with high end performance and this 64GB USB flash drive did not work at all. The PC did not recognize it as a drive nor would it format at all. Totally useless piece of junk. Thankfully, I bought it here on Amazon.com and returns are pretty easy painless. Buyers beware...do not buy this item, it will not work for you.
