Product Description The Cisco Small Business Wireless-G Router for 3G/UMTS Broadband is really three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect both screaming fast Wireless-G (802.11g at 54Mbps) and Wireless-B (802.11b at 11Mbps) devices to the network. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Connect four PCs directly, or attach more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need. The Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a 3G/UMTS or GPRS Internet connection (requires Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G/UMTS data card, available separately). You can also use a standard Ethernet attached Internet connection, like a cable or DSL modem, if available.Once your computers are connected to the Router and the Internet, they can communicate with each other too, sharing document files, a printer, storage space, and other resources. To protect your data and privacy, the Wireless-G Router for 3G/UMTS Broadband can encode all wireless LAN transmissions with WEP or industrial-strength WPA Personal encryption. The Router can serve as a DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs against intruders and most known Internet attacks, and supports VPN pass-through. Configuration is a snap with the web browser-based configuration utility. With the Wireless-G Router for 3G/UMTS Broadband, you can create a secure wireless network with Internet connectivity, anywhere that 3G/UMTS or GPRS service is available.

Linksys broadband router really works November 14, 2008 The WRT54G3G just works as advertised. I was setting up a small office for a non-profit and they couldn't afford to pay commercial rates for Internet access. They are pretty excited that I cut their cost in at least half for Internet access.
Linksys Wireless-G Router for ATTT, good product. November 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is an excellent product. I live in an area where DSL or cable are unavailable. I have to use dial-up for internet access for the past 6 years until now when I have 3G signals from ATT arround my house. I got an AirCard 881 from ATT and set-up my LAN with this router. Now, all my computers (2 desktops and 2 laptops) in my household are able to access internet at high speed. The download speed is comparable to that of DSL. The set-up is easy and straight forward, and only takes less than 5 minutes.

This product did NOT work as advertised and I had to return it for a refund, which I did. Sadly, I did not recover the shipping/handling costs and I felt a bit discouraged that the product was not what I needed despite the reassurances that it was the correct item.
Wireless router for broadband aircard September 22, 2008 It took me some effort to get it up and running. Seems my aircard was too old and thus not supported by the router. I upgraded my ATT aircard to a newer version and now my wireless network is working fine.
great for mobile access... September 2, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I use this router in an RV and at a mountain house were installing dsl is not cost effective. Nice to have mobile wifi when multiple clients require internet access. Set up via start up disk did not work but configuration via web interface was easy and feature rich. Recommend an external antenna for use with AirCard to improve cellular reception and backhaul speeds.
