 Not a bad little device. January 6, 2009
It's wireless range is average, about what I expected. But the hot spot detector is really cool. It has an internal battery that allows you to view the built-in screen and check for hot spots within your proximity. It also tells you the name of the network and its' strength.
Got what I needed December 28, 2008
It's a good product. It achieves the maximum speed my router can go in wireless mode. Lots of people probably buy the adapters with higher speeds not realizing their modem may only achieve 54mbps in wireless mode. So be sure to check that before you buy the Ferrari of wireless adapters. This product is as described and there really wasn't any setup. I run windows XP and the setup was a breeze. The only reasons why I didn't give it a 5 star rating because it only came with a soccer ball design on it. The other reason is because every now - for some reason, the adapter just disconnects from the pc and reconnects. It's rare, though.br /br /I'm not one to read instructions first but here are some tips I can pass along because I initially screwed up when trying to do the setup. br /First: Put the CD in your computer firstbr /Second: Run the setupbr /Third: THEN plug in the adapterbr /br /NEVER just unplug the adapter without using windows to "Safely Remove Hardware". Doing so without safely removing hardware first could crash your system. You'll get the "blue screen of death" and force you to cut the power on your computer and restart. No biggie really but I didn't know that because - like I said, I never read the instructions first. One day I'll learn.
 No CD from Warehouse Deals, Inc August 18, 2008
I eagerly opened mine, which I ordered from Warehouse Deals, Inc here on Amazon, looked in the setup guide, and the first thing it said to do was insert the installation CD. I looked through what came in the box over and over and over, but there was no such thing. What am I supposed to do? Judging by the other reviews I am sure this product is amazing and wonderful, but, thanks to Warehouse Deals, Inc, I may never know.

I bought this adapter for a windows server 2003 machine and it works like a charm from day 1. I just had to install the driver and typed ssid and wep and its on. I have not tested this with WPA but don't think it would have a problem. br /br /On the side note its a little bulky as it hotspot locator feature but overall great product.

By where it want that go I can see the networks you publish and to sail thus by the network. Very easy to install and to use. Very good sensibility. High security.
