Just what I Ordered January 7, 2009 The Magellan Maestro 4250 does everything it says it will do, and does it well. I did a lot of research before buying this one, and I feel like it's comparable to the Garmins that are over $100 more expensive than this unit. I have read reviews that claim that the Garmin routing is a bit more intelligent in side by side comparisons. My suggestion, if you're going to use a GPS everyday to get you to places you've never been before, than spend a lot more, get a top-of-the-line Garmin. But if you're just looking for something to get you to your vacation destination, and you don't want to spend $400, than this GPS will certainly serve you well.
Happy Magellan Customer January 7, 2009 I own 4 Magellan GPS units. Each is a different model and I like them all. I especially like my Maestro 4250,It has all the features I could want and br /I like telling it what to do and it does it.br /
this is a nice unit January 7, 2009 I bought one unit as present, I liked the GPS unit so much that I bought another one for my son, so he would stop borrowing my Garmin unit( older model 300). I like this unit so uch that I think I'll buy one for myself. blue tooth works well, start up time is satisfactory, I don't think I have to go anywhere so eargent that I can't wait 30 seconds to load. text to speech is loud and clear. My units both were refurbished,$110.00 and arrived like new units, I updated firmware very easily and uploaded AAA program with no problems, both units worked fine out of box.

overall not a bad GPS will get you where you need to go Bluetooth works well and for the money with its large touch screen and its fairly sleek size has many features even the newer model doesn't have My only problem is that I have had it lock up numerous times and was not able to fix even after pressing the reset button and doing a firmware update Hope this helps
I own two of them January 6, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
