 Abolutely Fantastic book December 29, 2008

I am likely part of the same year group as my brother Dalton +/- a year. However, I've only managed a mediocre infantry career in comparison to the author. Did my year + with the 82nd in Iraq 1 year in Astan. br /br /"Intellectualize" a critique of all of the crap you care to say the author, the mission, the government, as they say: yada, yada. br /br /Bottom line: try being there yourself for even five minutes if you make it with out changing your shorts 5 or 6 times. To these brothers I have nothing but my highest respect and admiration and we should all be thankful of the sacrifices of these men and their families and that we live in a country with men like these guys. If you're looking for a fantastic book on the subject this it. br /It cannot be put down, it is as exciting as any work of fiction, may be a bit "inside baseball" jargon heavy but highly readable nonetheless. However, if in fact you are interested in reading this book you'll know most of the jargon anyway.br /Without giving much away, Dalton's stint with Guard was priceless, if only I had the same number to give out! Although I understand why, he does not deserve to be PNG'ed. br /With highest admiration, deep respect and extreme gratitude for brothers like the author.

This is probably the fastest I have ever read a book. Hard to put down once you start. Many thanks to the author for having written such a detailed, gripping and inspiring book about the best fighting force in the world. This is a must read for all people in all types of business due to the fact that the problems that the author encounters with his chain of command, draws parallels to all types of professional working environments where there is top heavy management. In the authors situation the chain of command added loads of layers of unecessary beaurcracy that overrode professional decision making, which translated into poor decisions, creative supression, and incredible inefficiency which eventually led to Bin Laden escaping. I was really stunned as most people would be that our government throttles professional soldiers in the field like they did in the operation in question. Also a big salute to the author for unmasking the fraud that is geraldo rivera the media clown. 3 hours to the pass huh geraldo? Man you might as well be in Delta. HAH!! Thanks to the Author for giving us this detailed account. It is a very important part of history and I hope we can all learn from it. Saludos to all Delta Operators and the work they do to make our world a safer place.
Great insight into the Tora Bora campaign December 26, 2008

Until I read Kill Bin Laden, I knew very little about what transpired during the hunt for the terrorist mastermind in 2001. As the author explains, prior accounts and publications were written by journalists who Dalton reveals, actually had little to no access to the Delta Forces operators who were doing the dirty work in the Tora Bora mountains. Subsequently, their accounts were filled with flaws, conjecture, and guesswork. br /br /If you think we let Bin Laden "get away", guess again. If you want to learn the true story about what happened, read this book, written by a Delta Force Commander who was there. br /br /

Great respect for the professionalism and dedication of the soldiers whose actions are narrated in this book, but the writing is terrible. Just finishing the book without slumping into sleep is no mean feat. It looks to me that Major Fury could have done with the services of a decent ghost writer.
